Anna Flowers is the founder and creative director of Anna Flowers Designs, an independent, self-funded fashion house built on the belief that women are art, and a woman belongs to herself.

Raised in an oppressive religious home and later trapped in an extremist cult where women were taught to fear their own bodies and value obedience, silence, and submission over independence, Anna found her freedom through art and fashion.

At 46, she taught herself couture and launched her own fashion house, turning sewing, the one skill she escaped with, into a means of independence, creative freedom, and self-expression.

Inspired by the dark romance of the Pacific Northwest, old-world decadence, and the beauty of the female form, her designs combine dramatic silhouettes, movement, and sensuality with comfort and wearability.

Anna designs from her own wardrobe. Her pieces begin as things she wants to wear herself, developed through experimentation, draping, and an instinctive understanding of how clothing moves and feels on the body. She believes a woman should never have to choose between feeling beautiful and being comfortable.

Her work has appeared on runways in London and New York, and in magazines including Blur and Harper’s Bazaar, but her mission remains the same: creating clothing for women who dress for themselves, not for permission.

Outside her fashion house, Anna studies Bel Canto under Madame Camille and volunteers her voice to sing for the dying. She also volunteers at her local cat shelter, helping organize annual fundraising galas and finding homes for animals in need.
